Sam Skaller (she/they) is a queer, white, Jewish educator, speaker, and advocate born and raised in New York State. Starting in 2015 Sam has worked with various post-secondary educational institution communities and sexual assault survivors in North America in combatting campus sexual violence. Since 2019 they’ve worked at the NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault as the Senior Campus Coordinator. Sam runs the Alliance’s Campus Program in its partnership with different campuses across NYC by delivering trainings, supporting trauma-informed policies, and creating multiple student volunteer programs from scratch.

Before joining the Alliance in 2019, Sam worked with the national It’s On Us Campaign as one of seventeen students in their first-ever Student Advisory Board. She received her undergraduate degree in viola performance and music history at Syracuse University and her master’s degree in musicology and gender, sexuality, and feminist studies at McGill University. Her masters research explores protest music’s role in the beginnings of the sexual violence prevention movement.

Sam is currently in the process of receiving her Sexuality Educator certificate from the Sexual Health Alliance. Sam is passionate about combining her passion for both the anti-violence field and performing arts world.
